Improved annotation layout

Currently, users spend a lot of man hours cleaning up isometrics so that Dimension callouts and Label text do not overlap and are placed with a clean look on the isometric drawing.

It would beneficial if OPIM was able to automatically perform some of this and avoid text from overlapping and had better ability to show annotations. For example, OPIM needs the ability to avoid overlapping with other dimensions, arrows need to avoid crossing each other or extension lines, text should avoid being placed on dimension lines, etc.

Some drawings may take multiple iterations in the design process, and for Isometrics with many sheets, it requires a lot of rework just to visually clean up annotations. This would provide significant savings in the Isometric Drawing creation process.

    Hi Sujaan,

We want to set it to future consideration and mistakenly set to already exists. Please accept apologies for that and now set to correct state.

We already are working on white space management and evaluating additional tools to cleanup isometric annotations/callouts.

    To whom it may concern,

Please see the attached PDF file showing examples of the issues being described in the post.

As you can see there are multiple examples of Text Labels crossing Dimensions, Text Labels and Dimensions crossing piping graphics, and poor annotation layout by OPIM.

I would like the person from Bentley that set this idea to "Already Exists" to set a meeting with me to demonstrate the functionality that exists in OPIM that can automatically clean up the examples identified in the attached PDF.
