Currently OpenPlant Modeler uses a component based workflow when connected to the iTwin/PlantSight. Project teams would benefit from a workflow that parallels other Plant products that allow working in the file and keeping components file based, with periodic synchronization of the entire file back to the iTwin environment. The component based workflows have some challenges in term of maintaining the graphical display when components are "checked out/in" for working. Many teams continue to work in a file mode across other Bentley products and this is considered more than a portal into the iTwin. OPM should be brought into alignment with that workflow for maximum benefit.
