We have hundreds of cell libraries containing unique Custom Components in .cel files. This is difficult to navigate among project teams and to ensure that the correct components are selected for different projects.

We tried to import the different custom components stored in different .cel file into a project .cel library to streamline the process and to make sure the users can only place specific components in the projects.

This is currently not supported; the cell library import is driven by Microstation and only imports graphic components. OPM still sees the components as an OPM custom component, but it does not import the relationship with the fluid ports. This means that you cannot connect the custom component in OPM.

We request an enhancement to allow us to import custom components from different cell libraries into new libraries.

The current workaround is very time-consuming; you have to recreate the custom component each time into a new library, and this also has to be done for each spec. As you can imagine, this is a huge burden.
