Clamp Connector - list them in reports, give user more input values and better graphics - like victaulic for example

Hi there,

currently if a ferrule to ferrule connection is established the clamp connector is a "dumb" cylinder only (generic cell).

I have two problems with that:

  • Connectors are not reported on
(we have to add the amount manually for every MTO / BOM)

  • Graphically you cannot tell its a clamp connector.
Especially if somebody looks at the model who is not used to the "OPM look" of a clamp connector.

I think it should be programmed similar to something like the victaulic couplings for example.
The graphics could also be done by simple blocks and cylinders, maybe a polygon, so nothing too special, but easily identifiable as a simplified clamp connector. Also in tight situations you could see and rotate the position of the screw.

As additional info you can look at the help page for victaulics:

https://docs.bentley.com/LiveContent/web/OpenPlant%20Modeler%20Help-v13/en/GUID-3376E9EA-83D9-46D8-8E46-1E61BE8EC752.html

There you can also find the value definitions for the graphics. Something similar to this, with a good documentation for the clamp connectors would be great.
