Please allow the user to edit/change the specification of Custom Component. Reusing the same custom 3D Model in different projects or in different specification requires the Custom component to be recreated from scratch each time.
Trying to edit the component specification invokes the parametric 3D modelling which then redraws the component using the database dimensions.
Had an SR about the same topic the last few days and the outcome was, that I should share an idea for this.
Interesting to see, that there is already one that is two years old :D
Maybe this helps to bring it up on screen again for development.
My thoughts to the problem:
Changing several things that you define when first creating the item would be really helpful.
Also it would be great if there was some form of editing or exchanging the graphic item without having to redefine everything that has been done before.
Could be similar to equipment editing. Having a "meta-data-block". Being able to drop the graphics, change things, update component.
It would save several man hours just to be able to edit Custom Components.
