Routing Auto Elbows with multiple elbows in spec

We have specifications where multiple end preparations exist for elbows with the same size.

Typically we have butt welded and threaded elbows for the same size pipe depending on the service. When you have 2 different types of elbows for the same size component (say DN 50) the system randomly (seems to take the first spec entry) places say a threaded elbow when using piping routing.

The user does not have a choice of which elbow (threaded or butt welded) will be place. In the specification generator one can set up defaults, but this does not really help as it only allows for Long Radius, Short Radius, which will not give you flexibility for selecting end preparation while placing.

Please can you allow the user to select the elbow type when routing a pipe should there be more than one elbow available in the spec.

How frequently will feature be used? Several times a day
How much time will you save? Significant time will be saved as the alternative is manually placement of elbows which significantly slows routing.

Hi Spyker, Thanks for Posting Idea on Aha.

Can you please try following variable OPM_AUTOFITTING_SELECTION_GRID_FOR_ELBOW = 1. It should prompt you all records from spec while Autofitting.

    Regards,
