Better Graphics for Tappings

Please can you improve the graphics of tappings/unreinforced and reinforced branches to be more graphically correct.


At the moment, especially on large pipe sizes where connections are not tee in, the graphics of the connecting pipe stop short of the main pipe and looks as if the connection is not made.


This will make 2D drawings look much more representative of what the actual connection looks like.

How frequently will feature be used? A few times a day
How much time will you save? Updating this manually is time consuming and if items are moved the manually fix does not move with the component. Time consuming to do and to quality control.

    Apologies for the delay in response.

    In the attached image you can see the current graphic shows an open section between the tapping point and the main pipe, it would be nice to see that closed similar to the image on the right.

    Hope this explains it a bit better.

    Hi Marias,

    Thanks for posting the idea. Can you please add a snap of the issue i.e. how it currently works in OpenPlant Modeler and how you want it to be. Also please share what main and branch sizes are you using and which OpenPlant Modeler build are you using.
