The Issue :
1) There is no direct, reliable data flow from electrical analysis tool(ETAP) to Bentley's 2D/3D design tool(OPPID).
2) Ambiguity on suitable Bentley solution for electrical equipment(Building and Process equipment)
Impact:
Forces manual data transfer from single-line diagrams to 3D models, increasing the risk of design errors and costly rework.
Requirement :
1) Provide detailed design integration workflow of the best approach for electrical solutions with ETAP. (Step by step workflow need to be provided)
2) Suitable building and process equipment tool for :
•ICA(I&W) and Physical 3D Modeling
•Drawing Production : Combined multi-discipline models, then annotation
| How frequently will feature be used? | Several times a day |
| How much time will you save? | This will save a lot of manual job by the client. |

@Guest The main thing I'm really missing here is the overall workflow that you are looking for. It would be helpful if you could articulate the entire workflow sequence that is desired and explicitly mention which products are being used in each step of the workflow.
The impact statement that you need to manually transfer data from single lines to 3D models and that you want 3D Modeling as a requirement of this solution seems unrelated to OpenPlant PID which only does 2D process diagrams. If your request has more to do with 3D Modeling it seems this should be related to OpenPlant Modeler.
Are you trying to get electrical equipment and instruments and their electrical loads from the process diagrams in OpenPlant PID? If so, my recommendation would be to create a query in Engineering Data Manager to get the list of instruments and equipment and their electrical loads as a specific property of the instruments and equipment. Then you could use EDM's Excel Export or Advanced Export to output a list of instrumentation and equipment loads with their tags that could be imported into ETAP for analysis.
