Placing a 3 Way Valve with third Way under 45 Degrees should be possible . Same should be possible for 3-Way Fittings ( Y-Strainer). Example see attached pictures. Needed for different customers. They as well add valves directly to the third way, sometimes reduced and Blind flanges. That could be happen with a piece of pipe or without.
I have updated the acceptance critieria of Bug 542742: OPPID CE U8: 3Way valve control valve with 45Degree branch pipe run generates break or gap at initial point to reflect that we need it to work for fittings such as T-Strainer.
There are other higher priority bug fixes which we must complete before we can take this up so I don't anticipate this being address in 2025.
Hello Scott, yes that is the same but we need that as well for the fittings like T-Strainer with 45 degree branch.
I think this may be the same as this already reported bug:
Bug 542742: OPPID CE U8: 3Way valve control valve with 45Degree branch pipe run generates break or gap at initial point.
Birgit, can you confirm if this is the same or if you are asking for something different than the bug to be fixed?
