We use OPM_MATCH_PROPERTY_MAP_NOMINAL_DIAMETER variable in our projects for Poly to Steel pipe size mapping. This variable works only when you comment out OPM_ATTRIBUTESTOCHECK variable which is not ideal solution because it allows connection between different pipe sizes and also creates the joint. So, this should be fixed in the software.
