When working with plantsight I often use the explorer and I would like to have the ability to see equipments and pipelines on the first level basis, without expanding all the levels above.
(Please forgive me, that I do not know the exact words for the structure items.)
Currently I have to expand at least Plant_Area-->Number of Plant Area--->Equipment-->then I see my tank.
I would like to have "category" Equipment --> on triangle click --> there are my tanks etc.
Also same for pipelines
"category" pipelines --> one triangle click --> seeing all pipelines
In the Items-Browser in the explorer the tree structrue is already different than in the plantsight part of it.
I think the attached mockup shows it best.
And it should be possible in a user friendly way - best case would be a right click in empty space and having the option to add/remove or change tree structure items.

Hi Waqas,
thanks for the reply.
Unfortunately I cannot test newer versions as they still lack basic functionality, which we use on a daily basis.
Also setting up everything would take too much time right now, as we expect schema issues etc pp (things we had in all versions so far).
But good to hear that Bentley is working on it. Thanks for that.
And what I could see from the PDF it looks promising.
Of course color coding and different possibilites for hirarchies would be nice to have in the future.
@Guest Thanks for posting the Idea. We have added a simplified version of PlantSight tree in OpenPlant Modeler 24.02.00.28 where we have Pipeline, Equipment, HVAC and Trayline nodes already available in OpenPlant Modeler tree. This new tree was added to increase the performance and efficient search of Tags on PlantSight. However, it has a Flat Hierarchy and lacks color coding. I have attached a document that explains the functionality in detail. Is it possible for you to give it a try one of your machines and share your feedback if it works for you?
