In general User needs sometimes untagged ( components without unique identifier). Example instrument bubbles with the same behavior than the existing ones but without any sequence number. Example PLC Entry Points. See attached document.
Great Idea Birgit. There are times when a user needs a fully intelligent OPPID component from a behavioral standpoint, but without being tagged. Other times would be a separate area on a PID that has a "By Vendor" flag and boxed off area. They need the symbology, but no need to tag or track the components placed in the "By Vendor" area/box.
